“Dancer In Front Of a Window” was painted
by Edgar Degas around 1875. Degas was a French artist born in 1834. He is especially identified with the subject
of dance, because more than half of his works depict dancers. He is very famous
for his sculptures, drawings, paintings and prints. He is regarded as one of the
founders of impressionism, although he preferred to be called realist.
This painting is about a ballerina that
it’s dancing in front of a window. We think that the painting is really beautiful
and expressive and it transmits a feeling of loneliness.
In our opinion the weaknesses of the painting
are the ballerina’s face, and her expression. And the strengths are the lights and
shadows of the painting.
For us, the painting it’s beautiful and
delicate, but, at the same time, strong.
We think that we should show the painting
to the others, because it´s a very cool and pretty work and it has to win recognition.
We concluded that the painting by Degas
it’s really beautiful and passes different emotions to us. We
can conclude too that Degas was a really good artist and he liked ballet.
in our opinion one of the best jobs, because besides being very similar to the picture, you put the painting movement in the picture.

A good job, but compared with the original art the picture is closer, the dancer is even closer and the original art isn’t as bright as the picture. The background is a little bit false... But we really liked the text!
